AFOREST-DESIGN A/W 2010 "I AM A STRANGE LOOP"

The head behind Portuguese brand AFOREST-DESIGN is Sara Lamúrias and hermain objective  is to communicate new ideas through art, design and fashion. Sara studied fashion design at Faculdade de Arquitectura in Lisbon, is a regular since five years at Modalisboa and has participated in several National and International solo and group exhibitions as well as fairs like Bread & Butter.
Her A/W 2010 collection is entitled “I am a strange loop.” is named after the book by Douglas Hofstader. Sara is designing clothes that are complex in conception, but clear in their visualisation. The shapes result from the intermingling of philosophical, mathematical and visual concepts and they lead to these topsy-turvy creations; items to be worn upside down and vice versa, like a loop.
