MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA: CHARITY AIDS LIMITED EDITION T-SHIRT
“THERE IS MORE ACTION TO BE TAKEN TO FIGHT AIDS THAN TO WEAR THIS T-SHIRT BUT IT’S A GOOD START”, this is the quote that you can read (if you know how to read Japanese) on the Limited Edition charity AIDS t-shirt from Maison Martin Margiela to be launched 1st December for the world AIDS day.
The purpose of the t-shirt design is to encourage dialogue. A dialogue on HIV/AIDS that starts once the proud owner is asked to explain what is written on her/his t-shirt. A percentage of the sales are donated to ‘AIDES’, a French organisation dedicated to fight the HIV virus and take care of patients living with HIV/AIDS (www.aides.org).
The shirt will be on sale in all Maison Martin Margiela stores around the world, we think it’s a great idea to wear a piece of clothing and touch everybody’s hearts.
