WHITE TENT SPRING/SUMMER 2011
WHITE TENT was founded 2007 by Evgenia Tabakova and Pedro Noronha-Feio Of Russian and Portuguese descent, they have graduated from Central Saint Martin’s and the London College of Fashion.
White Tent is based in Lisbon, Portugal and London, UK. Since 2007 Evgenia and Pedro have shown their work in Lisbon Fashion Week – ModaLisboa. They are strongly engaged in manipulating pattern-cutting and using innovative materials. White Tent believe in social responsibility and are working on ways of making White Tent a sustainable practices brand.
For SS11 White Tent´s collection is featuring fluid outerwear, oversized jerseys, shorts and cropped trousers that result in a casual and nonchalant look with understated details such as exposed pockets, entwined panels and multiple layers. The materials chosen give an organic drape to the structures. As always, White Tent puts an emphasis on the choice of materials: washed summer wool, crinkly cotton-inox, coated cotton yarn for knitwear and reversible Japanese jerseys all give the collection a tactile feel. Accessories in fine slouchy leather complement the look.
Chromatically the collection is very soft. Pearl blue, brown, blue, gray and white with hints of bright red and black.
