MODALISBOA DAY 1: BACKSTAGE PEDRO PEDRO A/W 11

The Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from the duo Pedro Pedro showcased a more urban style for the upcoming season, sticking to a range of greys and pastel colours such as soft pink, with a selection of statement red outfits in the mix too.

Key pieces in the collection include high-waist long leather skirts with metal clasp details running down the front, which were nicely combined with a silvery silk blouse or long-sleeved leather wrap-around in matching colour tones, and strong combinations of fur and knitwear pieces. There seemed to be some tie-dye input in the collection too; mixing pastel shades and adding block colour cuffs on sleeves for effect.

The show featured several different varieties of hat and handbag combinations; from a folded turban look to full fur Russian-style hats, with a variety of practically-sized leather handbags, some with an interesting “clutch-meets-briefcase” feel. Short leather gloves featured in various colours and thin folded belts featured throughout the collection.
