MODALISBOA DAY 3: AFORESTDESIGN A/W 11

This season Sara Lamúrias set up an installation and performance in Lisbon”s MUDE Museum, showcasing a natural parklife scene complete with trees, bicycle and birds…

The aforestdesign collection is entitled “The Birdwatchers” and the concept was developed through a partnership with the Portuguese brand Burel, presenting products, accessories and some clothing pieces in Burel, a traditionally Portuguese raw material of 100% coarse wool produced in old Imperial factories which are still functioning in Vila de Manteigas.

Details include wooden toggles, patchwork or leaf-pattern designs, sparrow silhouettes, oversized woollen legwarmers, large hoods and a variety of creative bags and satchels. The colour palette of the collection represents the tones of the mountains; greens, greys, honey, white, on fanciful reinterpretations of comfy outdoor clothing such as the poncho and trenchcoat representing a lifestyle in harmony with nature, such as that of a birdwatcher.

The aforestdesign installation will remain in MUDE Museum until Sunday nbso online casino reviews 27th March.
