CONVERSE CELEBRATES UK MUSIC

Converse has launched its new yearly “CONNECTIVITY” campaign for 2011, now presenting an exclusive collaboration between UK recording artists Paloma Faith, Graham Coxon and Bill Ryder-Jones with an original track entitled “Desire”.

The notorious footwear brand continues its commitment to promote freedom of expression and emphasises the connection between the brand and the music world, placing the spotlight on the unique British music scene.

The first annual CONNECTIVITY campaign was launched back in October last year and featured a collaboration of artists including Joy Division, New Order, Alexis and Joe from Hot Chip, and Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant. For this years campaign the artists have gone all out with the production of this fresh new track, combining the distinct sensual voice of the stunning singstress Paloma Faith with the spirit of the talented Graham Coxon originally from British rock band “Blur”, and a unique musical performance from Bill Ryder-Jones, former guitarist of British indie band “The Coral”.

Fans can download this track free now from authorised Converse webpages. The song “Desire” truly demonstrates both the impressive smorgasbord that is the UK music scene along with the dedication of the Converse brand in continuing to celebrate the global music community.
