SASS & BIDE SS12 AT LONDON FASHION WEEK

The Sass & Bide SS12 catwalk presented another varied and interesting collection which moves from playful spotted and striped asymmetric designs through to elegant constructed forms in black and white. Neon yellow highlights appeared in the form of chunky plastic jewellery or flowing panels of brightly coloured fabric, perfectly complimenting the coloured Aztec patterns which also featured in small diagonal panels and stripes throughout.

There is a general 80’s feeling to the collection with its panelled designs, bright colours and sporty details such as metallic sporting stripes down each side of an elegant black trouser suit. Meanwhile, the pangs of sophistication and elegance are seen in neat white cocktail dresses complete with origami style structures adorning one shoulder or flowing trains of red or yellow chiffon.

From sheer fabrics to cottons, tinted metallics, sequins and glitter, Sass & Bide have covered a whole world of fabrics and styles in a collection that became a melting pot of Aztec design, modern art structures and 80’s sportswear, with no lack of colour or imagination.
