Backstage Valentim Quaresma AW26

 

A week before ModaLisboa AW26, we stepped into Valentim Quaresma’s atelier. Antonia Rosa, ZOOT’s creative director and longtime lead makeup artist at ModaLisboa, watched the masks come alive and joined the first fittings, all captured through Isabella Glock’s lens.

Seven days later, the atelier hit the runway at Pátio da Galé. Backstage moved in slow-motion chaos: Isabella captured last-minute adjustments, fast hands, and rising tension as Valentim’s AW26 collection — upcycled metals, glass stones, and textured dark fabrics — hit with raw energy and audacity.

Valentim Quaresma

Valentim asked me to reproduce the masks he was creating in makeup. I mirrored them with silver foil, which we applied to each model’s face, shaped to their individual features.
