MODALISBOA DAY 2: ALEXANDRA MOURA

Alexandra Moura presented a spacy colourful collection  for S/S 2011.  We loved the prints and adored the glasses, we want every colour!

Our picture editor got a little carried away colourwise, for correct colour info please go to www.alexandramoura.com

ALEXANDRA MOURA FRONT-ROW REPORT  by Oscar Seguro

It was loud and clear that Alexandra Moura spent some time in the lab. The first look she sent out was featuring gigantic Plexiglas’s glasses whereas the following looks gave us that cold, strict lab feeling. But it wasn’t just about the clinic work wear: the prints looked like kaleidoscopic views of the interior compositions of metals and minerals, showing colourful and dreamy hallucinations, coded in strict, austere shapes. Some were short, some were longer, some were fully covered and others had small cut-outs. The final result? Colourful and nude adventures, between tailored and loose fitting shapes, showing us the true purpose of looking beyond the minimalistic and analytic world of science – to dream.
