LFW DAY 1: PPQ A/W 2011

Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker’s starting point may have been Jacobean women, but the design duo filtered this inspiration through romantic elements, adding to the historical elements in their collection – read lace inserts (employed also for platform courts and boots trimmed with lace), ruffs and cuffs – a bit of modern surrealism through felt cat ear hats and metallic jewellery and bags frozen in thick Plexiglass.

Muted colours prevailed throughout the collection with vivid splashes of purple appearing every now and then also in the prints.
