MODALISBOA DAY 4: BACKSTAGE OS BURGUESES A/W 11

Os Burgueses presented a mismatched collection with arty combinations of white collared shirts, patterned silks, knitted woollen garments and synthetic leathers. The concept is based on the urban opera ‘The Saga of Jane Doe’ and is subtitled ‘Nuclear Winter’, aiming to represent a reconstruction of clothing based upon a game of contrast and inspired by urban style.

The collection also appeared to have some cavalry or military inspirations through the use of helmets, riding boots and panelled trousers. The blue or beige knitwear, used as scarves, “snoods” (scarf/hood) or legwarmers, combined nicely with silvery-grey satin dresses and the collection featured some cool materials such as the wet-look synthetic leather blending from red to black.
