KENZOMANIA: NEW KENZO WATCHES FOR S/S 2011

The Kenzo maison launches a collection of watches inspired by themes of its Spring/Summer collection.

Text by Anna Battista

Kenzo Takada first launched his own maison with a precise message in mind: offering women a fresh approach to fashion and the chance to mix different patterns and materials, creating a very peculiar style that combined Japanese inspirations with Parisian  influences. Throughout the years Kenzo confirmed his position as the most Western and the most Parisian of the Japanese designers showcasing in France. Blending different cultures and online casinos identities – from Scandinavian sweaters to Mexican rebozos, Native American designs, Egyptian patterns, African styles, Tyrolean costumes and Bolivian attires – he traced a new geography that didn’t seem to have any boundaries.

Kenzo’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection designed by its current Creative Director Antonio Marras is inspired by Japan and by voyages to faraway lands. The maison recently launched a series of colourful timepieces to accompany the collection. Characterised by floral prints and little silver charms inspired by nature, the collection of six stainless steel watches mixes in fun and colourful motifs that will make every hour of the Spring/Summer season more joyful.
