Fashion designer, DINO ALVES, was given the unique opportunity to represent Portugal with his latest Spring/Summer 2012 collection showing for the first time at the première Macau Fashion Link which took place on the 26th November.
Combining a selection of Chinese and lusophone designers with local Macau fashion talents, the event was able to firmly place Macau on the map as a future force in the fashion industry of the orient. As the chosen designer from Portugal, Dino Alves shared a runway with Brazilian designer Cynthia Hyashi, Nadir Tati from Angola and Barbara Diaz, LinesLab and San Lee from Macau.
Alves described the experience as not only promoting fashion but also promoting the relationships that can be forged between countries. His S/S 2012 collection entitled “New” rediscovers a new romanticism and new sophistication which was perfectly reflected within the rich and fascinating cultures of Macau.
