“TINTA NOS NERVOS” is an exhibition dedicated to Portuguese comics featuring about 600 works by 41 authors from different generations who seek to use the comics as a medium of personal expression, or an artistic discipline open to multiple trials and contemporary discourses.
Present are artists from different fields, some with more comercial background like José Carlos Fernandes, Filipe Abranches, Nuno Saraiva and Victor Mosque - and others from the independent scene: Jucifer André Lemos, Marco and Miguel Carneiro Mendes; authors, whose comics appear to follow the rules, more conventional and classic: Anna Courtier, Peter Zamith Farrajota and and others that seem to exceed in all respects like Nuno Sousa, Carlos Pinheiro or Cátia Serrão; and also artists who create printed objects that embody elements which are normally used in comocs : Eduardo Batarda, Isabel Baraona and Mauro Cerqueira.
