TAKEN: URBAN CULTURE STORE, PORTO

Located at Nº 1 of the famous Rua de Santa Caterina, new urban concept store “Taken” has transformed the old Jewellers “Reis & Filhos” to bring an awesome selection of urban design labels to downtown Porto including Carhartt, Pointer, Element, Supreme Being, Adidas Originals, Fred Perry, RVCA, Nixon and Obey.

The store offers a carefully selected variety of clothing, watches, headphones and hats across it”s two floors with unique graffiti art decorating the walls created especially for the space by Portugal”s renowned street artist, Stuck, providing a space with great music and modern design where visitors are able to explore the interesting interior and conceptual art works while they shop. Taken has also dedicated an area of the store specifically to skate culture, a true urban society which embodies the passion and attitude of the store”s modern street-style concept.

As well as working with graffiti artists Stuck, the Taken store collaborated with renowned DJ, Ride, and journalist, DJ and presenter, Rui Miguel Abreu, to celebrate the launch of the store and help promote its success.

Taken is now open to the public and will continue to develop its connections within the world of music and street art to bring new exhibitions to the store”s gallery and continue to provide new and interesting clothing, accessories and skate memorabilia, all under the concept of urban culture.
