00H00 – 02H00: DJ Ride

Without a doubt one of the most praised and renowned DJs on the Portuguese music scene today, DJ Ride has been crowned four times DMC scratch champion, and world champion as the BeatBombers alongside his turntablist pal Stereossauro. As a producer he has created a solid discography which received great applause amongst critics. Ride is set to launch the ambitious Tuga Breaks with Beatbombers which is sure to stoke the ryhthmic fire at Neopop 2011. On top of this, DJ Ride also produces a vibrant “Glitch Clash” hour-long set each week for the Red Bull Music Academy Radio on Vodafone FM bringing the best cuts from the most adventurous DJ booths across Portugal.

03H30 – 04H30: The Gaslamp Killer

Like the Kings who chose great painters to paint their portraits, the infamous Flying Lotus chose LA-based DJ, Gaslamp Killer to record the mix “A Decade of Flying Locus”, a sort of audio portrait dedicated to the owner of his record label, Brainfeeder. Gaslamp brings intense mixes which journey through hip hop and psychedelia combined with a clear rock attitude to bring an incredible energy to live sets.

02H00 – 03H30: Junior Boys

Junior Boys is made up of Canadian duo Jeremy Greenspan and Matthew Didemus. In the last decade they have built a solid reputation through their relentless performance schedule at festivals as well as the success of albums such as ‘Last Exit’ or ‘So This is Goodbye’ that only confirmed their position as great artists of electro-pop. Now the Junior Boys prepare for the release of their new alubum ‘It’s All True’ in Portugal and will be celebrating this at Neopop 2011 proving the sophistication that indie-lectro can bring to the world stage today. A truly unmissable performance.

04H30 – 06H00: Modeselektor

Many consider Berlin to be the epicentre of modern electro and Modeselektor’s Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary perfectly represent the spirit of this global capital. Combining electro, hip hop, techno and whatever else is necessary, Modeselektor produce a profoundly original sound that can be truly electrifying live. Last year saw their musical services requested by Trentmoller and Roots Manuva, providing tracks which are highly anticipated to be sampled within the Modeselektor set.

06H00 – 08H00: Dj Koze

DJ Koze’s connection to labels such as Get Physical or Kompakt should be sufficient proof of his high calibre, on top of the fact that his work appears on almost every mixtape around. DJ Koze has an eclectic sound that reflects his impressive musical curriculum which began back with one of the most reputable German names in hip hop, Fishmob, and saw a journey through more experimental lands with a strong focus on breakbeat movements.

08H00 – 10H00: DJ Harvey presents Locussolos

In the world of dance music there are legends and then those that appear above legend status. DJ Harvey is in this league. The English veteran is surrounded by a certain mythical status, built up over many years of challenging the rules. Previously known as the man behind the renowned compilation, Sarcastic Disco, and member of Map of Africa, this Summer DJ Harvey has embarked upon a new endeavour, releasing a series of incredible tracks under the name Locussolus. Who ever has heard the Locussolos album will agree that it’s a masterpiece. The proof of this is in the names that stood in line for the remixes: Andrew Weatherall, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas and The Emperor Machine. This exclusive performance is certainly one to wait up for…
