This Winter season, Luis Carvalho’s collection emerges from the intimacy
of touch, the softness of the skin, and the contours of the bodies.
“Touch” is the materialization of this tactile experience.

Luis Carvalho´s inspiration behind the organic and fluid shapes of this collection is the work of Australian, Auckland based Caroline Walls, whose art centers around the movements of the female forms. In a symphony of black and nude tones, the fashion looks come together like musical notes in perfect harmony, mixing organic and fluid shapes. Luis´ DNA, always marked by clean lines and oversized proportions, comes to life with layered creations, organic and geometric lines, crafting a collection that is predominantly genderless. Black, honey-brown, sand, cream, olive green, and gray are skillfully worked into materials ranging from wool to brocade, taffeta to twill, and poplin. We see all over flowers woven onto silver brocade, Burbery-style checked patterns in green with red lines and a shimmering taffeta fabric that reminds us of fish scale.

“Touch” is an invitation to explore the sensuality that resides in the simple act of dressing. It’s a celebration of textures and forms, where garments embrace the body with a soft and elegant caress, providing a fashion experience that is both sensory and visual.

Luis wanted to capture the feeling in the make up / on the skin of going from the warm house out into the cold in winter: we go out and blush in the face with the cold, and the eyelashes I did in white to remind of the snow.
