IIn a time shaped by conflict and collapse, when smoke fills the sky and the noise of weapons tries to silence the voice of humanity, the world can feel stripped of meaning. Yet even in the darkest moments, love and brotherhood persist – quietly, stubbornly – as acts of resistance. Between fear and faith, there is still “Ngana Zambi”, a reaching toward something higher, a name for protection, meaning, light when everything else falls apart.
To love in times of war is courage. Not in fighting, but in maintaining compassion in a dehumanizing world. Empathy in conflict is a humble yet powerful force, generating light where darkness insists on prevailing.
This is friendship as survival: boys running through sand, embracing, wrestling, holding onto one another beneath a heavy sky. While war passes, humanity remains. It is the light war cannot extinguish: friendship.
