HAPPY COLOURS HAPPY LIFE: INAUGURATION OF NEW BUILDING PROJECT IN GUIMARÃES WITH AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA

The President of Guimarães City Hall, António Magalhães da Silva, will be joined by famous Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de La Prada, the creative talent behind the project, for the inaugaration of new building facades in Bairro da Nossa Senhora da Conceição, Guimarães on Friday 24th June 2011.

Begun in October 2010, the project aims to revitalise the area with happy new colours and designs on the exteriors of buildings based upon three main themes: flowers, sky and love. The city of Guimarães partnered with the IHRU (Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation), Lameirinho Indústria Têxtil e Dyrup and Agatha Ruiz de La Prada herself to help make this possible and improve the quality of life of those living in the area. The project also includes a second phase to improve the green spaces of the area; cleaning up, planting new species and improving public pathways.

All partners, residents and supporters are invited to attend the inauguration in celebration of the project and its good work within the community.
