In Lisbon’s Prata Riverside Village, art broke through glass. For a brief moment, P’LA ARTE Creative Room’s storefront became a space between fantasy and ritual — a suspended moment in the city’s flow. Montras Vivas was a live performance, a transformation: open, intimate, impossible to ignore. Six figures born of imagination — superheroes of a re-enacted childhood. Antónia Rosa, with 13 makeup artists, hairstylist Helena Vaz Pereira and her team from Griffehairstyle, nail artist Sandra Luz from Dez Studio, and the creative team from Valentim Quaresma, transformed the shopfront into a live stage. Makeup became performance, the body a canvas, as creation unfolded live — from first stroke to final detail for those who paused to look.

It was during a visit to P’LA ARTE Creative Room that Antonia Rosa imagined turning its wide glass storefront into a living display. Drawing on childhood references — her own and those of collaborators like Helena Vaz Pereira and Valentim Quaresma — she brought Montras Vivas to life: six characters created in real time, fully visible to anyone passing by.
For one day, Antonia led her team as makeup, character design, and visual construction unfolded in full view. Onlookers were free to stop, watch, and follow each step, while @zootmagazine streamed the entire performance live.
The project was documented by filmmaker Isabella Glock, who captured the process on film, and photographer Nuno Beja, who focused on moments of pause, detail, and transformation. Between moving and still images, they built an intimate and continuous visual record of a creation made in a single day.
The six characters came to life through six models from different agencies, each embodying a distinct figure inspired by the world of superheroes — physically translating the visual language imagined by Antonia.
Accessories played a central role in shaping each character’s presence. Pieces by Valentim Quaresma added coherence and visual impact, joined by works from emerging jeweller Lázaro Bonixe, known for bold forms and fine detail.
Everything took place at the P’LA ARTE Creative Room, in Prata Riverside Village, Braço de Prata, close to Marvila — a space that not only hosted but shaped the project, connecting body, city, and creation.
GUSTAVO — The Woodland Spirit
Antonia Rosa
A romantic vision brought to life by Elodie Fiuza, I asked her to transform Gustavo into a luminous, sensitive being — joyful and light, like a woodland fairy caught in movement. A creature of feeling and freedom, imagined in soft strokes and playful detail — delicate, radiant, and quietly powerful.

AISHA — The Radiant Guardian
Antonia Rosa
I always thought Aisha, my muse, was an incredible being of beauty and lightness. I made her an armor perhaps inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy. I used biodegradable glitter for the effect.

SEBASTIAN — The Electric Cowboy
Antonia Rosa
Inspired by cowboy culture, I asked Marcelo to tattoo Sebastian extensively, transforming him into a surreal, electric rider — a modern hero charged with grit, edge, and mysterious energy.

INES — The Cinematic Superheroine
Antonia Rosa
Tarantino inspiration shaped this look. I asked Sandra Alves to channel a heroine caught between Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element and Pulp Fiction — fierce, bold, and unforgettable.

PAULO POP — The Psychedelic Visionary
ANTONIA ROSA
Inspired by the vibrant 60s and the Color Boom, I asked Catalina and Diogo to create a graphic color puzzle that captures that era’s energy. Helena exaggerated Paulo’s hairstyle to amplify the look without losing the authentic 60s style—a bold, electric hero of vivid expression.

GANI — The Electric Being
Antonia Rosa
Inspired by Marvel’s Electro, the electric man who controls lightning, Frederico shared the idea of an electric being. Together, we transformed Gany into his childhood hero—charged with energy and power, alive with electric force.
